How KIWIBEE works

Hive guide

1. Create your account and add your kids

  • Sign up with email and password or Google. Your 7-day free trial starts right away with 1 kid slot.
  • Sign in with email and password or Google. You'll see "Who is using Kiwibee today?". Pick your Parent profile and enter your password to open Parent Hive.
  • In the parent portal tap Add kid. Enter their name, grade and avatar, then set a PIN. Kids don't need their own email or account; they live inside your Family Hive.
  • Need more kids? Pick a plan on the Pricing page and add extra kid slots (up to 5 kids).

2. Set up homework

  • Open a kid's card and tap Manage, then New task. Give it a title, pick Math, Reading or Homework, and set the points.
  • Add a description, attach a worksheet, and add questions (multiple choice, short answer or read aloud) if you like.
  • Pick a due date and time with grace minutes and a late penalty, or turn on No schedule for no time limit. Choose a repeat (daily, weekdays, weekends, weekly, or pick your own days like Mon, Wed and Fri) for routines.
  • In a hurry? Use Create with AI: choose a grade and subject, or paste text or upload a worksheet photo, review the missions and tap Assign.
  • For Reading, choose Word read, Text read or Text + questions, and decide whether to include read-aloud.

3. Set up chores

  • Create a New task with the subject House, for example "Make your bed" or "Feed the cat".
  • Set the points and a repeat (every day, weekdays or weekends) so the chore comes back automatically after you approve it.
  • Chore points grow the Chores (Helper Bee) badges.

4. Set up rewards (honey pots)

  • In Manage, open the Honey pots tab and add rewards with a nectar cost, like "Movie night: 300".
  • Kids ask to open a honey pot from their portal. You approve or decline it in the same tab, and approved rewards spend their nectar.
  • Bonus games: create an AI crossword or math puzzle with bonus points. When your kid solves it, they tell you a secret code; type it in Redeem code to give the points (each code works once).

5. Review work and check progress

  • Finished missions appear in Missions & review with a red counter. Check the answers and read-aloud results, then Approve or send back with Try again.
  • Approving adds points to the subject and to the total. Being on time also grows Responsibility.
  • The dashboard card shows total nectar, the latest badge (tap it for the Trophy Room), the Math, Reading, Homework and House points, and each badge level.
  • The bell shows notifications, which are also emailed for important moments. Visit the Hall of Fame to compare seasons, and use the Season tab to start a new Hive Season once your kid becomes a Hive Master.
  • Want to see what your kid sees? Tap Kid mode. To come back, tap Switch profile and enter your password.

6. Responsibility badges (Leader Bee)

  • There's nothing extra to set up. Responsibility grows automatically from every mission you approve, whether homework or chores.
  • Each approved mission gives +5 Responsibility points, and +5 more (10 total) when it has a due date and was finished on time (before the due time plus grace minutes). Missions with No schedule give +5.
  • To encourage responsibility, give missions a due date and time and use repeats (daily, weekdays, weekends), so finishing on time becomes a habit.
  • Badges unlock at 100, 300, 600 and 1000 Responsibility points (Bronze to Diamond Leader Bee). Responsibility points don't add to the nectar total that kids spend on rewards.

7. Special Challenges badges (Challenger Bee)

  • Special Challenges come from Bonus games. In Manage, open Bonus games, create a crossword or math puzzle and set the bonus points.
  • When your kid solves it, they see a secret code. They tell you the code and you type it in Redeem code. Each code works once.
  • Bonus points go to the Special Challenges hive and to the total nectar (so they can be spent on honey pots), never to Math, Reading, Homework or House.
  • Challenger Bee badges unlock at 100, 300, 600 and 1000 bonus points. They are not needed to become a Hive Master.
